DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) Skills training group. The group is held on Fridays at 12 noon.
The group will focus on learning, then applying behavioral coping skills in the areas of: emotion regulation strategies, mindfulness skills, interpersonal skills, distress tolerance, and reality acceptance skills.
This group is based on Marsha Linehan’s DBT skills training model. The group is a good fit for individuals who struggle to regulate emotions and behaviors that create difficulties in their everyday life.
The training will help its members learn more adaptive behaviors to use when difficulties in living arrive. The group is skills focused and is committed to a nonjudgmental perspective. Humor, levity, wisdom, kindness and compassion are always welcome!
All members must have their own individual therapist as this group will not function to replace therapy. The cost is $50 per session, and will be paid at every session. If you have out of network benefits, you may be able to seek reimbursement and will be provided with itemized receipt to do so.
